Vibrations
Vibrations (video 2014) Is a reflection of tree over water whose mirage is subtlety altered by the small gestures of somebody, a falling drop of water or a flower. Rather than insinuating a moment of daydreaming, this video represents a search of contemplation in contrast of the necessity to take participation within the scene. (As to interact with the water or to fight against the tendency to wait for something to happen) To activate and observe the mirage in the water, the video transforms in a dialog between the spectator and the personage which is in the middle, interacting or simply waiting.
C.P. 06000
“C.P. 06000” is a video installation of three simultaneous projections exposing the different atmospheres, impressions, and fictions of the center of Mexico City. A collaboration between Madara Tropa and Michelle Saenz Burrola, this work projects two distinct perspectives on the exorbitant city, captured in a haphazard manner, merging and forming the viewpoints into a uniform multimedia experience. El Encuentro. Viaje I
El Encuentro. Viaje I ( The Meeting. Journey I) creates a ambience about perceptions of physical space and the coincidences which they incite in our memory. The spaces we pass through are registered against our internalized memories of place, each with a range of emotive, symbolic, and historic content. This work is a recording of fluctuations of the tides of a tropical coast, which create new ephemeral spaces. In their eternal ebb and flow, one may detach into a contemplative mindspace.
